THE FINAL GYPSY CAB OF 2008!!!



The final Gypsy Cab of 2008 has been set into the Falafel House calendar, and it promises to be one heck of a backyard bonfire...

Once per month for the rest of this year, one special back yard in Hamilton is home to a assortment of live, local performers bringing you music and live performance in a beautiful outdoor setting, complete with roaring bonfire and a "eat, drink, and be merry" attitude...


RAIN OR SHINE!

We've done plenty to ensure everyone stays warm & dry, regardless of the weatheriffic shenanigans. And I've figured out how to light a fire in the most hideous of weather...!

DATE: Saturday, 13th December, 2008
TIME: "doors" open at 7:30pm, music begins at 8pm
PLACE: Falafel House - 3000 Wisteria Avenue
Baltimore, MD 21214 (just behind the Hamilton Tavern)


A $5 donation is suggested to provide for the artists...And it's a POTLUCK! Bring something to share with your fellow partygoers!

This particular variety of merriment is brought to you through a collaboration between The Hamilton Arts Collective, Hole In the Wall Cabaret, and The Northeast Network.

THE GYPSY CAB RETURNS!!!

The Gypsy Cab returns to Hamilton in November, bringing with it four new acts to the Best Backyard Bonfire in Baltimore! The current lineup includes:

Gavin Elder

The Go-Pills

YOINSH! (experimental instrument improv!)

Northeast Network Meeting 3: Season of the Witch


Northeast Network wants to hear from YOU!

Our next meeting is scheduled for Saturday, 11th October, from 2pm until 3:30pm at the Hamilton Gallery.

For those of you not familiar with us:

The Northeast Network is a collaborative effort between the Hamilton Arts Collective and the people of the Northeast Baltimore community: performers, volunteers, technicians, and venue representatives. Our goal is to increase the amount of live entertainment and cultural events happening in our section of town, through cooperation and sharing of technical resources, venues, networking among our peers, and sponsoring local events.

All are welcome! As always, we will offer and encourage you to bring potluck fare, so feel free to share!

OPEN STUDIO TOUR AT THE HAC!


Have you heard about the HAC's third floor private studios? Sure you have! But did you know that the HAC is once again participating in the Open Studio Tour? Check this out, from the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts:

Through this free, self-guided two-day tour, you can experience simply the best of Baltimore’s diverse art culture. Encounter fresh works in painting, sculpture, photography, installations, clay, mixed media, and more right where they’re made—and often, literally in the making. And, as any art lover will tell you, the Annual Open Studio Tour is the greatest way to connect personally with local artists in a relaxed atmosphere, ask questions, and of course, purchase original artwork.

You'll have a chance to see where these artists work in your very own neighborhood. See finished pieces or those in process, and see even more work on display and for sale in the Hamilton Gallery downstairs!

The Open Studio Tour @ the HAC happens on Sunday, 19th October. Doors open at 12pm. Admission is FREE!

The 2008 furniture sale/giveaway/concert is happening here in Hamilton, September 20th at 5 pm. It's BYOB! If you don't drink, bring a van! Revel alongside the local song stylings of The Agrarians, MacGregor Burns, AK Slaughter, The Art Department, Field Athletics, and MORE!
